Milestones to Expect

Newborn (2 weeks)
The first two weeks with your newborn are a tender blur of feeds, naps, and getting to know one another. As your baby adjusts to life outside the womb, each day brings small but meaningful changes in feeding, sleeping, and development. Feeling unsure is completely normal โ knowing what to expect can help you find your footing.

2 months
Around two months, your baby starts to come alive socially. Those early sleepy days give way to longer alert windows, the magic of a first real smile, and the beginning of back-and-forth interaction. It is a lovely, hopeful stage โ and here is what is generally happening under the surface.

4 months
Four months is a delightful, busy stage. Your baby is more social, more mobile, and much more awake to the world. Big smiles, new movements, and a maturing sleep pattern all arrive around now โ alongside, for many families, the well-known four-month sleep change.

6 months
Six months is a milestone-rich stage. Your baby is more mobile, more social, and usually ready to begin the adventure of solid food. With new flavours, new movements, and a clearer personality emerging, it is a joyful โ and busy โ season.

9 months
At nine months your baby is a little explorer on the move. Crawling, cruising, pulling up, and an emerging pincer grasp open up a whole new world โ alongside a deeper attachment to you that can make separations harder. It is a stage of independence and closeness, all at once.

12 months
The first birthday is a moment to celebrate โ a full year of growth, change, and love. At twelve months your baby is on the edge of toddlerhood, with first steps, first words, and a blossoming sense of independence. Here is what this milestone stage usually brings.
